Thanks for playing, everyone. The giveaway has ended and the winner is SOPHIE ANDERSOM. Congratulations, Sophie. I have sent you an email to arrange delivery of your prize!
All the best things come in threes.
1. Today is St David’s Day, our national celebration of daffodils, dragons and leeks.
2. Tomorrow is World Book Day,
3. GIVEAWAY!!!! I have another copy of my US Journey to Dragon Island ARC* up for grabs. Leave a comment and tell me what you like best about Wales, or what you like best about books (or both if you like.) I’ll pick a winner and announce it here on Friday 3rd March, so check back to see if you’ve won.
THIS GIVEAWAY IS OPEN INTERNATIONALLY!
*A few people have asked me what an ARC is. It stands for Advance Reader Copy, and it’s an uncorrected paperback copy of the book, which goes out to reviewers before publication. Essentially, it’s my book in a slightly different format with the added excitement of a few quirky mistakes.
I like books because they bring me to other worlds. I love whales because I love marine life. I wanted to be a marine biologist. Btw, I don’t live in the US.
I love whales too. The giveaway is open internationally (I’d forgotten to add that) so location isn’t a problem.
Awesome!
I love the exploring the beaches & castles of Wales. And I love exploring the whole world and its people through books.
I grew up reading fantasy books set in Wales, so I am 99% sure it’s populated by amazing castles, people who are extremely magical and/or musical, and tiny, adorable little towns. 😀
I love the bridge. I love the feeling of driving under the big Hs like I did when I was little and feeling like I’m nearly home.
I love books that make me feel. I want to laugh and cry and gasp when I read.
I love visiting Wales and seeing my Aunty Claire and Uncle Philip. I particularly like the books my Aunty Claire writes, I think she is very clever and I love having a famous Aunty. I would love a character in a book of hers to be named after me!
Ha ha! Relatives of the author are disqualified from giveaways (but I’ll send Alex one of my author copies when I get them.)
I visited Wales years ago and just loved the old castles and the countryside! So much history to explore!!!
