I’m a children’s author, writing fantastical tales with a large helping of humour.
I grew up in Newport, South Wales where, thanks to my local library, I developed a lifelong obsession with myth and magic. Now I live in the Welsh mountains with my husband and two cats, (who are disappointingly unmagical – as far as I know…)
When I’m not writing, I love traveling around, sharing my love of stories, and inspiring new readers and writers. I give talks to adults and children. Check out my events page for details. Tuesday 30th July, Llantarnam Grange, Cwmbran. Introduction to Storytelling. I’m very excited to be leading two workshops based on Bonnie Helen Hawkins’ wonderful art exhibition of characters from Under Milk Wood. Dylan Thomas described Under Milk Wood as a play for voices and we’ll be creating our own play for voices, taking inspiration from the weird and wonderful characters displayed around us.
