Such a wonderful way to start the academic year. We can’t wait to work with @ClaireFayers as our @patronofreading this year! Bishop Hedley School, Merthyr
The children really enjoyed your visit. They were so excited to meet you. Some of my class have brought in books yesterday and today from home to read. I know you have really inspired them. Once again many thanks for coming into school. It was an amazing experience. Penygarn School, Pontypool
Just a short email to say thank you for yesterday from myself, Julie & Year 7. Another successful and productive lesson. I’m looking forwarding to seeing some of their imaginative stories. St Cenydd Community School, Caerphilly
Thank you so much for a truly wonderful day. The feedback I have had from my colleagues has all been absolutely glowing and the children haven’t stopped talking about what a fantastic time they had. They are all very enthusiastic about reading the book and finding out more about your characters. Blackheath Prep School, London
When I was a child, I loved books, but I never dreamed that someone like me could become an author. Now, I love to meet young readers and help them see that they too can create stories. I visit schools, libraries, bookshops, community groups and festivals, and I can offer school assembly talks, creative writing workshops for children and adults, Q&A sessions and interviews, in person or remotely.
Sample workshop topics:
- Telling stories with heroes and villains
- How to create imaginary worlds.
- How to make your own story out of well-known fairytales.
